Our time with Zakk

Today I have decided to share our journey for my friends who have been kind enough to want to know, and for anyone who may now or in the future be told like us that their unborn baby has Trisomy 18. On 15th April 2009 Marcus and I attended hospital for our "big" scan to check all was well with our eagerly anticipated baby and give us some peace of mind during our pregnancy.

Our very unexpected journey began that day.

  1. Sis you will definitely be an inspiration to lots of people. So proud of my big sis. x

Just wanted to send you a special little poem.

Daddy please dont look so sad, Mummy please dont cry cause Im in the arm's of Jesus, & he sings me lullabies.
Please try not to question God, don't think he is unkind.
Don't think he sent me to you & then he changed his mind.
You see I am a special child, I am needed up above.
I'm the special gift you gave him, a product of your love.
I'll always be there with you, so watch the sky at night.
Look for the brightest star & know that's my halo's brilliant light.
You'll see me in the morning frost that mist's your window pane.
That's me in the summer showers, I'll be dancing in the rain.
When you feel a gentle breeze from a gentle wind that blows.
Know that it's me planting a kiss upon your nose.
When you see a child playing & your heart feels a tug,
Don't be sad Mummy, that's just me giving you a hug.
So Daddy don't look so sad & Mummy please don't cry.
I'm in the arms of Jesus & he sings me lullabies. x
